Cause Analysis and Treatment of Vibration of Raymond Mill

  • Raymond mill integrates fine grinding, drying, grinding, powder selection and conveying. Roller sleeve can be turned over and used. It has the characteristics of small area, simple process, high grinding efficiency, low energy consumption, low noise, large drying capacity, easy adjustment of product fineness, no dust pollution, convenient maintenance and reliable operation. Raymond mill is widely used for grinding and grinding of solid materials in cement, metallurgy, power, chemical industry, ceramics, non-metallic ore and other industries. Raymond grinder is a new type of energy-saving and environmental protection equipment with small floor area and simple system. It is easy to operate and favored by enterprises.

    But Raymond mill equipment in operation may also have a variety of problems, such as a problem that often troubles customers: vibration. Some technicians of our company have done a series of communication research on this late problem of Raymond grinder, and summarized the vibration reasons and treatment methods of Raymond grinder.

    First of all, we need to make it clear that the vibration problem of Raymond mill equipment is relatively common. Especially for the new grinding equipment just put into production, the vibration is mostly caused by the inappropriate thickness of the material layer between the grinding roll and the grinding disc or the entry of foreign bodies. In general, the particles of the grinding materials are not uniform. When the bulk materials and the powder materials enter the mill together, if there are more bulk materials, or larger bulk materials, or other high hardness foreign bodies such as iron, etc. When entering, due to the effect of segregation and inertial centrifugal force, separation occurs, and the bulk materials on the grinding disc are mostly concentrated in the periphery, resulting in uneven thickness of the material layer between the grinding roll and the grinding disc, unstable or even over-limited pressure of the grinding roll, resulting in vibration of the grinder; if there are too many powdery materials, most of the materials are brought up by the grinding airflow and scattered back by the separator, it will lead to the circulating load of the grinder. As a result, the material layer between the roller and the grinding disc will be too thin or dry grinding will occur, which will cause the vibration of the mill.

    Solution: The problem of non-uniform material layer thickness can be solved by strictly controlling the particle size of grinding material, ensuring that the particle size of grinding material is up to standard, and that the speed of grinding material is uniform, eliminating the grinding of high-hardness materials such as iron blocks, and maintaining stable and uniform feeding.

    Secondly, the unstable pressure of the inlet air will also cause the vibration of the mill, especially the Raymond mill equipments with kiln tail exhaust mode. Because of the unstable feeding of the rotary kiln, the unstable pressure of the kiln tail gas will be unstable, and the unstable flow of the kiln tail gas containing a large amount of dust will enter the inner chamber of the mill, resulting in the increase of the circulating load of the mill and the vibration of the mill. If the vibration of Raymond mill is caused by this reason, it can be solved by increasing the opening of the air valve of the circulating fan, increasing the amount of air entering the mill and negative pressure, and stabilizing the thickness of the material layer.
